The American Red Cross is offering free summer swim classes starting tomorrow for children and Monday for adults at Ala Moana Beach Park.
The adult sessions run 5:15 to 6 p.m. Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. The children sessions (ages 4 to 12) are from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. on Saturdays.
New sessions begin June 26 and July 24 for adults and July 15 for children.

LIFEGUARD
JUNIOR PROGRAM BEGINS
The city's Ocean Safety Division and the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association is taking registration for the Junior Lifeguard Program.
Seven sessions will be offered at Ala Moana, Kailua and 'Ehukai beaches and six sessions at Waimanalo and Poka'i Bay.
The first sessions start Monday.
The program is open to boys and girls ages 13 to 17 (by June 1, 2006). Strong swimming skills and a desire to learn about ocean safety is a must.

KARATE
CLASSES START JUNE 14
Beginner summer programs offered by Hawaii Shotokan Karate will start 5:30 p.m. June 14 at Lili'uokalani Elementary School in Kaimuki; 6 p.m. June 14 at Kapunahala Elementary School in Kane'ohe; and 5:30 p.m. June 15 at Noelani Elementary School in Manoa.
