Hawaiian Electric Co. crews accidentally switched off power to several downtown businesses yesterday morning, but the problem was resolved within minutes.
HECO spokesman Jose Dizon said crews were performing maintenance about 10:10 a.m. when power was lost to The Honolulu Advertiser building on Kapi'olani Boulevard and several surrounding businesses.
Dizon said he did not know how many customers were affected.
Electricity was restored by 10:15 a.m., Dizon said.
