Firefighters evacuated about a dozen people from a Foodland supermarket in 'Ewa Beach yesterday morning, including four people who complained of inhaling fumes.
"All of them were employees, and none of them went to the hospital," said fire department spokesman Capt. Kenison Tejada.
A hazardous-materials team and 'Ewa Beach firefighters were sent to the store at about 4:50 a.m. The fumes seemed to emanate from an area where painting was done Tuesday, Tejada said.
Firefighters ventilated the store and allowed employees to re-enter at about 6 a.m.
