Former University of Hawai'i running back Michael Brewster has signed a one-year contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

Brewster, 5 feet 6 and 185 pounds, completed his NCAA eligibility at the end of the 2004 season. That year, he led the Warriors with 722 rushing yards.

Brewster will report to training camp on May 14.

"I'm glad I can keep playing," he said.
