The complainant told police he was walking along Kauila Street about 2 a.m. when a car stopped next to him. He told police he recognized the driver from a confrontation earlier this month. The man on foot said as he walked away, the car traveled directly at him and grazed him, causing minor injuries.

They were told the woman was able to get into the car, but that the man reached in through the open passenger window and struck her in the face, resulting in minor injuries.

The suspect left before police arrived but turned himself later at the Wai'anae police substation, where he was arrested on suspicion of unlawful entry into a vehicle.
