SEASON'S GREETINGS: Though dates are to be confirmed, it looks like the Hawai'i Theatre will be home base for The Brothers Cazimero's Christmas concerts this year — late December play dates are likely. In recent years, Robert and Roland Cazimero have been performing their yuletide serenades with the Honolulu Symphony, but their absence on this year's roster (only Na Leo is engaged Dec. 8 and 9) at Blaisdell Concert Hall hinted of a revamp.

The Caz's Christmas endeavor would be a feather in the cap for the fabled downtown showplace, since it will boast two major holiday extravaganzas, the other being "Christmas with Friends and Nabors," the Nabors being Jim, tentatively set to light up the Hawai'i Theatre Dec. 8, 9 and 10. Nothing's signed, so stay tuned. ...

RANDOM NOTES: Actress Gina Hiraizumi ("Soap Girl," "Only the Brave," "Day of Independence") is in town this week to promote her latest film, "The Hot Spot," in which she plays a hottie named Venus. The urban comedy, with a theme of revenge, is set against the hip-hop scene and is directed by Laranz Tate, who was in this year's Oscar-winning "Crash" film. ...

Diners at The Bistro at Century Center got an unexpected treat Saturday night when singer Joey Caldarone joined pianist Tennyson Stephens for a few numbers. In reality, the two were rehearsing for tonight's Ballet Hawai'i gala that restaurant owner Jackie Takashita is hosting in honor of the visiting Smuin Ballet, which performs Saturday night at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Tonight, Caldarone and Stephens render tunes by George Gershwin and Frank Sinatra, reflecting the Smuin repertoire Saturday. ...

Diva Renee Fleming, in town recently for a Honolulu Symphony concert, spent some vacation time with Jim Nabors at the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the sunny Kohala coast, after experiencing downpours during a macadamia-farm visit on Maui. Fleming and Nabors relaxed over meals at Kirin and the Orchid Cafe. ...

Show-biz elements converge in "Sacs in the City," the April 29 Junior League of Honolulu fundraiser at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Philana Bouvier is producing a Tori Richard fashion show, with filmmaker Sergio Goes creating a video component. Actor Lance Rae emcees. Vintage garments come from Tori Richard CEO Josh Feldman's collection of more than 900 pieces; he'll be one of the rare gents there. ...

THE PARTY LINE: Wally White — clad as the devil, with red-faced makeup, horns, tail and red coat — and his table took top honors in a costume contest at Diamond Head Theatre's fundraising event Saturday at the Wai'alae Country Club. The theme was 1950s musicals; White chose "Damn Yankees," in which a baseballer sells his soul to the devil. Gulab and Indru Watumull marked their 53rd wedding anniversary, with blessings from the stage by DHT's John Rampage. The Watumulls' "Kismet" table included sons J.D. and Vik, daughter Jojo and their spouses, plus guests Jim Nabors and Lisa Josephsohn. ...

The Makaha Sons' Hana Hou! concert last Friday at the Hawai'i Theatre — part of the trio's 30th anniversary celebration this year — was a festive and fun outing, with up-and-coming Barry Kimokea and Hoku Zuttermeister showcasing the emerging power of next-generation artistry. With Halau Hula Olana dancers also filling the stage, and, on occasion, the aisles. Louis "Moon" Kauakahi, Jerome Koko and John Koko offered a preview of their upcoming summertime biggie, "Take a Walk in the Country 4" June 17 at Blaisdell Arena. And if you have historic Sons photos to share, there's still time; send to sharlene @makahasons.com. ...

Bill Petty, the light-and-sound man for "Broadway at the Shanghai Bistro," got a birthday cake and the traditional singing greeting last Sunday, thanks to keyboarder Don Conover. Both gents are Hawai'i Theatre docents. ...
