EARTH DAY PROJECTS — The Windward Ahupua'a Alliance has four volunteer projects from 8:30-11:45 a.m. Saturday during the Earth Day 2006 Celebration at Kawai Nui Marsh: Kapa'a Quarry Road cleanup; heavy clearing of state land at Mokapu end of quarry road; landscaping of Kawai Nui Wayside Park; and Hawai'i Foodbank donation drop-off site and HI 5¢ container collection. Truck drivers, chainsaw operators and hospitality tent workers also needed. REEF AWARENESS — The 6th Annual Coral Reef Awareness Day will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Kahalu'u Beach Park in Kona, with educational activities about marine life.
