Man arrested in stolen car

A 23-year-old Kailua man was arrested Sunday morning after officers found him in Kalihi behind the wheel of a stolen car that was being towed by another stolen car, police said.
A 33-year-old woman called police about 8:25 a.m. to report that her car had been stolen.
A police officer spotted the car about 20 minutes later while it was being towed down Pu'uhale Road by a second car, which also had been reported stolen.
The tow car and its driver fled while police were questioning the man behind the wheel of the towed car. The man in the towed car was then arrested on suspicion of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.
WHEELCHAIR USER ACCUSED OF THEFT
A 37-year-old Pearl City man was arrested Sunday evening after a security officer at the Iwilei Costco store reported seeing the man, who is an amputee, put a Sony PlayStation electronic game device between his thigh and the side of his wheelchair and roll his way out of the store without paying for it.
Security officers detained the man outside the store until police arrived and arrested him at about 7:25 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree theft.
KANE'OHE MAN HELD IN THEFT
A 35-year-old Kane'ohe man was arrested Sunday night after he walked out of a Windward Mall store with about $360 worth of merchandise, police said.
Store employees said the man gathered up the items about 9:35 p.m. and made no attempt to pay for them.
Police were called and arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree theft.
