It'll be a three-play season — two popular musicals, plus a work geared for children — at Paliku Theatre at Windward Community College in the months ahead.

The slate includes:

  • "South Pacific," the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, playing Oct. 7-30, with curtain time at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Ronald E. Bright will direct, and the lead performers will be Steve Wagenseller, Sonya Mendez, Tony Young and Maryn Good. The show boasts a list of musical classics, such as "Some Enchanted Evening," "Younger Than Springtime," "Bali Hai" and "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair."

  • "Charlotte's Web," based on the children's book by E.B. White, playing at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18 and 2 p.m. Feb. 19. Ben Gutierrez, of KITV-4, will direct the production, which is aimed toward a young audience.

  • "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," a theatrical rendering of the comic characters created by Charles M. Schultz, playing April 7-15, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. John Bryan, a collaborator and a frequent performer in Bright productions, will direct.

Season tickets for the three shows are $43, available by calling 235-7433, or online at www.eTicketHawaii.com.

Individual tickets for "South Pacific" are $26 general, $22 for seniors 62 or older and military, and $18 for students and children; for "Charlotte's Web," $12 general, $9 children, students, seniors and military; for "Charlie," $19 general, $16 seniors and military, $9 children and students.
