POUHALA MARSH RESTORATION — The Hawai'i Nature Center is cleaning up and restoring the wetland habitat in Pearl Harbor. Volunteers are needed to pull pickleweed and mangrove 8:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday. "GET THE DRIFT & BAG IT" — Meet at 8 a.m. Sept. 17 for beach debris cleanup at Campbell National Wildlife Refuge in Kahana. Call Sherine Boomla at 739-3936. On Maui, crews will work at Hana Bay, Kanaha, Kealia, Mala, Honolua, Paukukalo, Waihe'e, Kahakuloa and elsewhere; call Community Work Day at (808) 877-2524.

MANOA FALLS TRAIL WORK — The Sierra Club needs volunteers on Sept. 18 to move gravel onto the Manoa Falls Trail. Other workdays scheduled for Oct. 1 and 23. HALEAKALA OVERNIGHTER — The Friends of Haleakala National Park will conduct a three-day service trip Sept. 24-26, with accommodations at Kapalaoa and Holua cabins. Volunteer work usually involves removing invasive plants and cabin maintenance. Call (808) 248-7660.
