Sure, it was rude when fifth-year senior Kainoa Akina and third-year sophomore Jack Rolovich were not invited to training camp. But they are both back — and the top contenders to be the No. 3 quarterback.

JACK ROLOVICH

Hometown: Novato, Calif.

High school: San Marin High School.

Height: 6-3.

Weight: 220 pounds.

Bench press: 225 pounds 6 times.

Maximum bench: 265 pounds.

40 time: "5.0 seconds.

Ride: "Toyota Camry. Actually, it's his (Colt Brennan's) car. He's my chauffeur."

Non-football talent: "Golf. My handicap is probably, like, 5. I played at (Ko Olina). We had the satellite system, GPS, in the cart, to tell us how far we needed to hit. It was sweet."

Dream job: "NFL quarterback. That's what it's always been."

"Survivor" or "Amazing Race": Survivor. That's all I know.

Mistaken identity: "People think I'm my brother Nick (Rolovich, a former UH quarterback). People would be like, 'Didn't you used to play ball?' I'd say, 'I still do.' They're like, 'Really? How long have you been playing, like seven years?' They'll be like, 'What happened to you?'" Kainoa akina

KAINOA AKINA

Hometown: Tucson, Ariz.

High school: Mountain View High School.

Height: 5-10 1/2.

Weight: 186 pounds.

Bench press: 225 pounds 13 times. "I'm not as strong as Inoke (Funaki), but everyone is stronger than Rolovich."

Maximum bench: 305 pounds.

40 time: "My fastest one is 4.79. I just broke 4.8."

Ride: "Jeep Grand Cherokee. Dad does OK."

Non-football talent: "I know every single Disney song that has ever come out. ... I guess my favorite is 'Prince Ali.'"

Dream job: "CEO of Disney."

"Survivor" or "Amazing Race": Survivor, because I'd win. I'm not ruthless, but I'm cunning and smart."

Mistaken identity: "Last year, I got confused a couple of times with Timmy (Chang). I don't know how. The year before, it was Jordan Segundo. I didn't like it. I remember one time I was walking around here, and he was down here for some reason. Four or five people thought I was him. I was like, 'Come on. Please.' "
