'FOG' CREEPS TO NO. 1

The critically challenged remake of "The Fog" earned about $12.2 million to debut at the top of the box office. The stop-motion adventure "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" fell one spot, taking in $11.7 million. Close behind was the debut of "Elizabethtown," which earned $11 million. The model-turned-bounty hunter flick "Domino" faltered in its premiere weekend, coming in at No. 6 with $4.7 million.

FINAL WORD

"I was a Girl Scout. I sold lots of cookies. I got a lot of badges, but I was not that focused on them — I was really into those cookies. Our house was the depot for the cookies for my troop, so the whole living room would be stacked with them."
