Pair will discuss tsunami efforts

The Multi-Faith Leadership Forum, which represents most major religions in Hawai'i, is sponsoring two lectures by the Rev. Edison Munthe of Indonesia and Dr. Bunchar Pongpanich of Thailand, who will discuss the Southeast Asian area devastated by the 2004 tsunami.
Munthe, pastor of the Evangelical Church in Indonesia, is vice president of the Indonesian Association of Pastoral Care and a former president of the Theological Seminary in Medan, North Sumatra. Pongpanich is from the city of Nakhon Si Thammarat in Thailand, and also is a Buddhist monk who chairs the Save Andaman Network, a group assisting in tsunami recovery efforts. The pair will share experiences and lessons learned from recovery efforts.

OUTREACH CENTER HOLDING BIG EVENT
The Lighthouse Outreach Center holds its Big Event Celebration at 5 p.m. tomorrow at the Waipahu High School football stadium, 94-1211 Farrington Highway, with the theme "Look What the Lord Has Done." There will be music, a service, children's inflatable jumpers, booths, games and prizes. All events are free, as are the food plates and soft drinks.
