Last loan closes for Maui project

Hawaii Community Lending, a nonprofit organization promoting homeownership in Hawai'i, has announced the closing of the last of 66 loans for the Hawaiian Home Lands Waiehu Kou 3 project on Maui.
HCL originates a variety of loans, including Federal Housing Administration, Rural Development and Conventional loan programs for purchase, construction and refinancing. The staff of HCL has expertise in working with loan programs for Hawaiian Home Land properties, a federal trust established by Prince Jonah Kuhio in 1920.
FLIGHT SERVICE SALE COMPLETED
A Mainland company has acquired Mokulele Flight Service, which operates flights between the Neighbor Islands.
Washington-based Boyer Industries LLC last week completed its purchase of the local company, which provides interisland service between Kona, Maui, Moloka'i and Lana'i.
Mokulele, which flies nine-passenger Piper Chieftain aircraft, said the sale will have no effect on the company's 19 workers.
AIRLINE RESTORES NONSTOP ROUTE
Continental Micronesia today said it will reinstate non-stop services between Hong Kong and Guam, effective Nov. 7.
The airline's Hong Kong-to-Guam service currently includes a stop in Saipan. Customers traveling on the non-stop flight from Hong Kong will be able to make an onward connection to Honolulu after a one-hour layover in Guam.
PHOTO-IMAGING SERVICE AVAILABLE
Guests at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa can now process photos at the Xerox Business Center on the property.
Xerox Hawaii, which recently renewed its five-year lease at the hotel, has partnered with Honolulu-based GuestPics Corp. to offer photo imaging services, including converting photo images on digital camera or film to DVD, CD or prints.
