Boy, 16, held in late-night robbery

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Sunday as a suspect in the robbery of an 18-year-old man at a 7-Eleven store in Waimanalo.
The man who reported the robbery told police that the boy approached him and his friends about 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the store's parking lot and demanded money. He said the boy then entered his car, took several items and ran away.
Police found the suspect a short time later and arrested him on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
SURVEILLANCE TAPE LEADS TO AN ARREST
Police yesterday arrested a 31-year-old man wanted in connection with a July 19 theft at a Waikiki hotel.
A 59-year-old man told police he returned about 7 p.m. and discovered that his laptop computer and briefcase had been stolen.
The hotel's surveillance tape was examined and a man was seen leaving the area with the two items. Police identified the man and caught up with him Sunday.
BASEBALL-BAT SUSPECT ARRESTED
A 17-year-old boy was arrested Sunday in connection with a May 29 attack in Pearl City that left an 18-year-old man in serious condition after being hit in the face with a baseball bat.
Police said the injured man's girlfriend, who witnessed the beating, identified the suspect in a photographic lineup. The suspect turned himself in to police Sunday.
SUSPECT HELD IN FONDLING INCIDENT
Police were checking on a complaint filed by a 12-year-old girl who reported being fondled by a 22-year-old man about 11 p.m. Saturday while attending a party in Kapolei.
The suspect was arrested Sunday by patrol officers on suspicion of third-degree sexual assault.
