So you've got folks from out of town visiting for Christmas weekend.

They're way done with shopping. You've taken them to see downtown's Honolulu City Lights display and that street in Temple Valley where everyone blankets their home and yard with Christmas displays.

Now they want to have a sunset mai tai on Waikiki Beach. They want to go upscale clubbing. They want to go down-and- dirty clubbing. They want to listen to some live music.

Most of all, they don't want to be cooped up in their hotel or your house while a Friday and Saturday night in Honolulu — even on Christmas weekend — passes them by.

Here's a Night Stuff guide of helpful suggestions geared to your guests' possible interests. All you have to do is pick up the tab.

THEY WANT A $10-PLUS COVER CHARGE AND A CROWD THAT DRESSES UP

Aged 5 years but still kinda hip, Wonderlounge has that coolly refined, dressy, all-but-patented W Hotels vibe going for it. Tonight's party is Christmas-themed, so wear a Santa hat with your designer duds. From 9:30 p.m.-2 a.m. 922-3734. Sadly, Skyline at the Hanohano Room rests this week.

THEY JUST WANNA DANCE AND SWEAT WITH LOTS OF OTHER TWENTYSOMETHINGS AND NOT PLAY DRESS UP

Options abound. But we still like Pipeline Cafe, from 10 p.m.4 a.m. today and Saturday, 589-1999; and Zen Nightclub, 9 p.m.-2 a.m. today and Saturday.

THEY WANT LIVE ISLAND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC AND A MAI TAI ON THE BEACH AT SUNSET

Try Duke's Canoe Club in the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel, entertainment from 4 p.m. daily, 922-2268; and the Mai Tai Bar at The Royal Hawaiian hotel, entertainment from 4:30 p.m. daily, 923-7311.

THEY JUST WANT THE LIVE ISLAND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC PART

Catch Henry Kapono's second-to-last pau hana Friday gig at his about-to-close namesake restaurant/bar Kapono's, 6-9:30 p.m. today, 536-2161. Nathan Aweau plays Chai's Island Bistro, 6:45-8:45 tonight, 585-0011.

THEY WANT COUNTRY

DJ Dancin' Adam spins tonight; DJ Cool Cameron spins Saturday at Nashville Waikiki. Those names don't sound country enough to you? Go find another absolute torch and twangin' country bar in Waikiki open till 4 a.m. 926-7911.

THEY WANT THE BEST COCKTAILS IN TOWN

Order any of world-renowned master mixologist Dale DeGroff's fresh ingredient-filled/no pre-mixes allowed libations for the Halekulani's Lewers Lounge. 7:30 p.m.-midnight/12:30 a.m. nightly. 923-2311.

THEY WANT LATIN DANCING

Bamboleo at Spada Bar & Restaurant has DJed merengue and salsa in its outdoor courtyard shadowed by downtown office towers, 9 p.m.-2 a.m. tonight, 538-3332. Rolando Sanchez and Island Salsa do it live, 9:30 p.m.-midnight Saturday at Jazz Minds Art & Cafe. 945-0800.

THEY WANT LIVE JAZZ

Watch trumpeter DeShannon Higa and his band get coolly worked up at Jazz at the Hanohano Room, 9 p.m.-midnight today, 922-4422.

THEY WANT LIVE REGGAE

Reggae players of instruments Natural Vibrations makes its cheekily named holiday party, "Christmas Chronic," an annual event, at the Hawaiian Hut, 9:30 p.m. today, $15. 239-5867.

THEY WANT TO SEE A DJ PLAYED BY WILMER VALDERRAMA IN 'PARTY MONSTER'

Hawai'i-raised Superstar DJ Keoki spins electroclash at Wave Waikiki, tonight, after 9 p.m. but before 4 a.m. DJ Dano-san, another former resident now spinning in San Francisco, returns to spin Saturday, post-midnight. 941-0424.

THEY WANT TO MEET A PROMOTER NAMED 'FLASH'

Introduce them to Flash Hansen in The Pussycat Lounge's new home at the new Fashion 45 club, Waikiki Trade Center, 9 p.m.-4 a.m. today.

THEY WANT A GAY BAR

Baby, it's cold outside. But the bartenders are still shirtless at Hula's Bar & Lei Stand. DJed music nightly from 10:30 p.m.-2 a.m. 923-0669. Fusion Waikiki has a drag show Fridays and Saturdays at 9:30 p.m., an all-male revue and stays open till 4 a.m. 924-2422.

THEY WANT TO GO CLUBBING DOWNTOWN STYLE

Get Fresh! has 'em lining up on Nu'uanu Avenue outside Indigo Eurasian Cuisine every Friday, 10 p.m.-2 a.m. 521-2900, 591-3500.
