ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Meet co-authors of 'Close Call'

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Nancy Bannick, Scott Cheever and David Cheever will be at Booksellers Books & Music at Bishop Square today to sign copies of their new book, "A Close Call: Saving Honolulu's Chinatown."

Packed with photos of Chinatown past and present, the 94-page book tells the story of Bannick's remarkable effort to preserve the district, and raises questions about how Chinatown should be managed and preserved for the future.
