ALOHA FESTIVALS

ROYAL COURT INVESTITURE A GREAT PHOTO OP

Ever see a royal court become, well, officially royal? The 2005 Aloha Festivals king, queen, prince and princess will take their places on the O'ahu royal court today in a ceremony at Honolulu Hale. A great opportunity to test the megapixel capabilities of that new digital camera, the always-colorful investiture will feature the bestowing of the royal cloak, helmet, lei and other gifts upon this year's royal court. Hawaiian chant and hula kahiko will also be performed. At 5:30 p.m. at City Hall; free and open to the public.

FINAL WORD

"Most of the comedies will have some similarity because most comedy roles are about guys that aren't that bright. Every once in a while you'll get a 'Sideways,' not that I'm doing it."

A portrait of Sione Liutolo-Lopes, 10, is part of the "3Doorways,2" exhibit.
