TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE
"Scrubs," 8 and 8:30 p.m., NBC. It's good to see that this deserving comedy is back on the schedule. It's also good to catch this two-part rerun in one gulp. Juliana Margulies plays a patient's daughter, a notorious malpractice lawyer who instills instant fear. She also happens to be beautiful and flirty, which J.D. finds hard to resist. By the second episode, they're dating — at the same time she's facing his friend Turk in court.
OF NOTE
"NFL Football: Exhibition: Saints at Patriots," 2 p.m., Fox. Here's a pre-season game, with New Orleans at New England.
"Joey," 7 p.m., NBC. Often, Joey seems to have an easy time manipulating women. But now Sarah (Madchen Amick) moves into the apartment complex. She's beautiful and confident — and just as eager as he is to play the field.
"Will & Grace," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Sharon Stone plays a therapist who pays more attention to Grace than to Will. Soon the two are competing for her attention.
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," 7:30 p.m., FX. Here's the much funnier show that has the misfortune to follow "Starved." Tonight, the young bar owners decide to change policies so that some teens can come in.
"Hidden Howie: The Private Life of a Public Nuisance" debut, 8 p.m., Bravo. Comedian Howie Mandel plays someone a lot like himself, playing jokes on people.
"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. The staffers face an ethical dilemma: Their training calls for preventing death, but the law won't let them stop a hunger strike.
"Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. A psychic disappears shortly after arguing with a man.
