Annual New Baby Expo starts today at Blaisdell

The 13th annual New Baby Expo, tailored for Hawai'i's prenatal to preschool families, opens today in the exhibition hall at Blaisdell Center.
Among the highlights: a baby crawling contest at 1 p.m. today, and the 10th annual Hawai'i's Largest Baby Shower, set for 1 p.m. tomorrow. Featured talks: Robert Titzer, creator of the popular "Your Baby Can Read" infant learning system, 3 p.m. today and 1 p.m. tomorrow; and American Red Cross of Hawaii demonstrations on both days, on infant choking and rescue breathing at 11:30 a.m., and infant first aid at 12:30 p.m.
The event, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow, will feature more than 150 exhibitor booths. General admission is $4.50, and children 5 and younger get in free.
