UH men's tennis team ousted in first round of NCAA Tournament

No. 21 Pepperdine blanked No. 37 Hawai'i, 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championships today at Taube Family Tennis Stadium in Stanford, Calif.
Pepperdine is 17-10 and will face the Stanford-Quinnipiac winner in the second round. The Rainbow Warriors, the Western Athletic Conference champions, finished 12-8.
The Waves won the doubles point taking the first two matches. They also won at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, before getting the clinching point at No. 1 singles when Bassam Beidas defeated Dennis Lajola, 6-3, 7-6 (8).
The Rainbow Warriors were making their third consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
