Hawaii man, 18, indicted on murder charge in cab driver's beating
An 18-year-old man who allegedly admitted to helping beat a taxi driver to death May 1 has been indicted on murder and other charges.
Michael Robles, of a Manoa address, told police that he and a 17-year-old juvenile co-defendant fatally attacked Charlys Ty Tang after Tang drove them from Waikiki to Waipahu, Deputy Prosecutor Victoria Kapp said Wednesday.
Robles said the juvenile "punched the cab driver 15 times and kicked him three to four times," Kapp said.
Robles "admitted that he kicked the cab driver more than one time," Kapp said.
