Arson suspected in fire that damages Pahoa house
Big Island firefighters report that arson is suspected in a fire that damaged a Pāhoa house Saturday night.
The call came in about 8:30 p.m. Firefighters arrived and found the three-bedroom house on South Puni Mauka Loop engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished and the investigation found that the fire appeared to be suspicious.
Damage to the home was estimated at $110,000.
No one was home at the time and there were no injuries.
