NBA: Mavericks’ Jason Terry’s facial surgery successful, to return in 10-14 days

DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Terry has had surgery to repair facial injuries he sustained in a game against Minnesota.
The Mavericks said in a statement on Friday that Dr. Neil Williams performed the operation in Dallas. Terry is expected to return to basketball activities in 10-14 days.
He won’t travel with the team on its two-game road trip to Chicago and Minnesota that begins Saturday.
Terry was injured when he took an elbow to the face with 4› minutes left in the third quarter of Wednesday’s 112-109 home victory over the Timberwolves. Terry’s left eye was nearly swollen shut when he left the Dallas locker room after the game.
