CBS finds its new McGarrett for remake

Australian actor Alex O’Loughlin has been cast as Detective Steve McGarrett in the CBS remake of “Hawaii, Five-O,” the network announced today.
The 33-year-old O’Loughlin previously starred in “Moonlight” and “Three Rivers.”
He will join “Lost” star Daniel Dae Kim, who was cast earlier this week as Detective Chin Ho.
Filming for the series pilot will begin in mid-March.
