The morning started off with another media session at the hotel that lasted 45 minutes. There was a lot of attention surrounding Dwight Freeney's injury status again, which no one seems to be certain about.
From then on it was back to work. We finally got to focus on football again after a couple of days of media craziness. We had a couple of hours of meeting time to watch film and go over our game plan as a defense.
From there we were off to the Miami Dolphins' training facility for our first practice this week. It was the first day the team had practiced in warm weather in a long time. Most of us felt more fatigue than usual but were told that it is completely normal. It's not a big deal. It should take a day or two for our bodies to acclimate to the heat here. Overall, we had a decent practice but we still have a lot of things to correct before Sunday.
Tomorrow is the day our families arrive. I'm really looking forward to spending some time with ohana and enjoying Super Bowl week with them.
The team has set up some activities for our families and there will be a lot of parties and events coming up in the next few days. There are a lot of distractions out here but we have all done a great job, thus far, of not letting those things deter us from what we are really here for.
