NCAA women: UConn and everybody else? Don't overlook Stanford

SAN ANTONIO — Stanford players just smile and laugh when they hear people say women's college basketball this season is "Connecticut and everybody else."
They can't really argue with the UConn end because the Huskies have won 76 straight games. Yet they can take issue being lumped in with "everybody else."
Stanford has beaten everybody else this season, too, the only blemish on its 35-1 record coming when it gave Connecticut its closest game yet. If Stanford beats Oklahoma on Sunday night at the Final Four in San Antonio, coach Tara VanDerveer's players could get a tantalizing rematch against the Huskies in the national championship game.
The Sooners are UConn-tested, too. They were the only team other than Stanford to lead the Huskies in the second half.
