Twenty-four teams from Hawaii and five visiting Mainland teams will compete for the championship title at the FIRST Robotics Competition, March 25-27, at the Stan Sheriff Center on the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus. The competition is part of the ongoing effort to promote science, technology, engineering and math education through the power of robotics.

Robotics challenges students and teachers (Apr 12, 2010)
The statement "students build robots, but robotics programs build students," could not be more true. I have worked at Kalani High School for 10 years and have been a part of several science-focused initiatives. No education program has grabbed the students like robotics has.

Waialua, McKinley and Campbell high schools were the regional winners in the BAE Systems FIRST in Hawaii Regional Robotics competition at the Stan Sheriff Center.

3-school alliance tops in robotics (Mar 28, 2010)
An alliance of robotics teams from Waialua, McKinley and Campbell High Schools took first place in the 2010 BAE Systems FIRST in Hawai'i Robotics competition, earning a bid to the national championships in Georgia next month.

The Waialua robotics team earned the most prestigious award in the Phoenix competition: the Chairman's Award.

5-girl robotics team shines (Dec 20, 2009)
About 1,000 people, many of them very smart kids, jammed into the Blaisdell Arena yesterday for the annual FIRST LEGO League "Smart Move" competition.

Teams compete in the second annual VEX Robotics Pan-Pacific Championship at the Hawai'i Convention Center. Action from three rings was streamed over the Internet.
