• As a junior, Kern led UCLA to the 1999 NCAA championship, earning MVP honors and scoring four points in the semifinals and final
• 1999 NCAA Player of Year and winner of the Peter J. Cutino Award, the SPORT’s equivalent to the Heisman Trophy
• Played on U.S. Junior National B Team in 1996. Has been training with the U.S. national team since December, 1998, and played at the World University Games last summer, scoring eight goals.
• Second youngest on Olympic team
• Three-time collegiate All-American has scored 147 points in his career, leading the Bruins in scoring all three seasons
• Three-time ILH Player of the Year at Punahou
