In an impressive encore performance, Roosevelt ace Lianna Bajarin delivered as she did in 2009 and repeated as Player of the Year in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association's Red Conference Eastern Division.

Bajarin, a senior right-hander, tossed a no-hitter, a one-hitter, a three-hitter and three four-hitters in helping the Rough Riders finish 11-1 and win the division crown for the second straight year.

She also did more than her part on offense, going 3 for 5 with a double, triple, home run and six RBIs while throwing a four-hitter against Moanalua. Bajarin also went 3 for 3 with two runs scored while pitching a four-hitter vs. Farrington and went 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs while tossing a four-hitter against Kaimukī.

Roosevelt led the way with five players selected to the Red East All-Star first team: Bajarin, second baseman Maho Wada, third baseman Brianne Leong, outfielder Kamalei Pitoy and catcher Lindsay Takekawa.

East runner-up Castle placed shortstop Brittany Hawn and outfielder Kalena Lessary, and Kailua — which finished third — was represented by first baseman Jayna Hanawahine and utility player Shelby Lono.

Kaimukī outfielder Letisha Fa'asoa rounds out the first team.

Bajarin is the only repeat selection.

Roosevelt's Clay Okamura repeated as Coach of the Year.
