State alleges air-permit violations by PVT Land, Goodfellow Brothers

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Health's Clean Air Branch has issued notices of air-permit violations against Goodfellow Brothers and PVT Land Company.

Goodfellow was cited for failing to conduct monthly visible emissions observations on the company's mobile crushing and screening plants. The firm has been assessed a fine of $7,100.

PVT, which operates a construction and demolition landfill in Nanakuli, was cited for late submittal of its January to June 2009 monitoring report. PVT was fined $1,600.

Both companies can contest the orders and request a hearing.
