Las Cruces, N.M.

Aloha,

Today we all expended a lot of physical and emotional energy so this blog is going to be a little short. Plus the score of today's game, 16-1 against our arch rival Fresno State, says it all. The crew and I just got back from the Boise State and Fresno State game. Fresno won so we will be playing them again tomorrow for the championship game.

There was a lot of tension at the beginning of the game, but once we found our groove everything came together for us. Someone once told me that our hitting is contagious, when we get a couple back-to-back hits our offensive game gets going and everyone jumps on board, which is exactly what happened in the third inning of today's game. We batted all the way around the lineup without any outs, which is something I have never been a part of.

Personally, I batted three times in the third inning! To top it all off we finally broke the NCAA home run record ‹ we are now up to 136 homeruns now, and we are not done yet.

Another milestone we accomplished today was eight-run ruling Fresno State, we have now eight run ruled every team in the WAC this season. One of the best parts about today's game is that we knew this epic win was being televised at home for all of our fans to watch.

As I mentioned in my blog yesterday, we needed to come out with a lot of intensity for today's game. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Tomorrow we will need to do the same thing. It is always our team goal to make it to the championship game of every tournament we enter ‹ well, we have made it to the championship. Now we need to win it. The championship game is going to be a grudge match. We need to come out ready to play hard with a lot of intensity but most of all we need to play Hawai'i ball.
