Maui police are looking for escaped convict Harry Kahaleauki after he apparently escaped from Maui Community Correctional Center officers yesterday while attending his brother's funeral at Ballard's Mortuary in Kahului.

Kahaleauki, 38, is described as Hawaiian, 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing orange M.C.C.C. clothing with leg shackles.

Kahaleauki is considered dangerous and police are warning residents to approach him with "extreme caution."

Anyone with information on Kahaleauki's whereabouts is asked to call 911, contact the Criminal Investigation Division at 244-6425, or call CrimeStoppers at 242-6966.
