Advertiser Staff

A 21-year-old Keeaumoku Street man was arrested yesterday in connection with an April 25 incident in which his neighbor reported being held against his will, assaulted and threatened.

The 52-year-old man who reported the incident said the younger man followed him into his room, shut the door, threatened to harm him and cut him on the hand with a knife.

The older man said he was held against his will for three hours until he managed to escape and call police.

He told police he saw the man who attacked him yesterday and found out he lives in an adjacent room at 825 Keeaumoku St.

Police went to the building and arrested the suspect on suspicion of kidnapping, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and first-degree terroristic threatening.

Police reported finding drugs on the suspect during a custodial search leading to additional arrests on suspicion of second- and third-degree promotion of dangerous drugs.
