U.S. House candidates clash tonight in televised debate

The three major candidates for Hawai'i's vacant congressional seat are meeting today for a live, televised debate at 6:30 p.m., which will be broadcast on KGMB, KHNL and KFVE.

The debate is sponsored by the state Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

The three candidates are Democrats Colleen Hanabusa and Ed Case, and Republican Charles Djou.

Hanabusa is president of the state Senate, Case is a former U.S. representative from Hawai'i, and Djou is a Honolulu city councilman.

The debate also will be streamed live on OHA's website and will be rebroadcast on the three television channels on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
