Honolulu piano competition seeks contestants

The Aloha International Piano Festival and Competition invites young pianists from around the world to enter its annual piano competition, which takes place in June in Honolulu.

Festival and competition participants range in age from 5 to 25 years old. They compete in five separate age categories in either the solo or the concerto divisions. Prizes include $1,000 for first-place winners competing in the solo division in either high school or young artist levels.
AIPF offers Hawaii’s youth, teachers and families equal access to music education programs. Each year, AIPF presents free and low-cost events that are suitable for music lovers of all ages.
Applications for the festival and competition are available at www.alohapianofestival.com. The deadline in April 30.
