A 61-year-old Hanamā'ulu man was arrested at his home Tuesday afternoon for his alleged involvement in a fatal traffic collision last month, Kaua'i police said yesterday.

Police arrested William Corbett for investigation of first-degree negligent homicide and driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He was released pending further investigation.

Glenn Doi, 59, of Kalāheo, died in the Kaumuali'i Highway crash Feb. 11 near the Lāwa'i Post Office.

A preliminary report said Corbett was traveling west on Kaumuali'i Highway in a Kaua'i Coffee delivery van when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an east-b ound Ford Mustang driven by Doi. The Mustang was then rear-ended by an Infiniti.

Doi was taken to Wilcox Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Corbett and the Infiniti driver were treated at Wilcox Hospital and released.
