BYUH advances to NCAA II West Regional title game

Jet Chang scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds and Marques Whippy added 17 points as Brigham Young-Hawai‘i defeated Cal State San Bernardino, 77-58, today to advance to the title game of the NCAA Division II men's basketball West Regional at Bellingham, Wash.

It was the Seasiders' 15th win in a row.
The Seasiders (22-5), seeded sixth in the regional, face No. 4 Cal Poly Pomona, who beat top-seeded Western Washington, 76-75 in OT.
The regional championship game will be played at 4 p.m. Hawai‘i time on Monday. Regional winners advance to the Elite Eight, starting March 24 in Springfield, Mass.
Virgil Buensuceso scored 16 points and Lucas Alves 14 for the Seasiders.
Corey Caston led second-seeded Cal State San Bernardino (23-8) with 16 points.
