UNIVERSITY OF HAWAI'I FOUNDATION

The University of Hawaii Foundation has elected Elizabeth Hokada, director, Financial Assets Division at Kamehameha Schools, and Arthur Ushijima, president and CEO of The Queen's Medical Center and Queen's Health Systems, to its board of trustees.

Hokada was most recently director of investments for the marketable portfolio of the University of Michigan.

Ushijima most recently held executive positions at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio and St. Mary's Hospital in Missouri.

MCDONALD'S RESTAURANTS OF HAWAII

James Francisco has joined McDonald's Restaurants of Hawaii as area construction manager.

GRAHAM BUILDERS

Faye Ing has been promoted to senior construction manager at Graham Builders. Previously project manager, she will now oversee the entire construction department at Graham Builders.

HOUSING SOLUTIONS INC.

Gaye Johnston has been promoted to director of operations for Housing Solutions Inc. In addition to managing the company's legal, human resources, IT and finance operations, she will supervise four homeless shelters and two low-income housing projects. A certified public accountant, she controls an annual operating budget of $5 million.

ALOHA PACIFIC FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union has promoted Ethlyn Kanemura to branch supervisor of its Fort Street branch. She will supervise daily operations and staff training, coordinate staff work schedules and monitor performance. She came on board in 2002 as a receptionist.

BOARD OF WATER SUPPLY

Adam Wong and Theresia Cancio McMurdo were recently appointed to the Board of Water Supply's board of directors.

Wong is the founder ACW Ventures, a diversified investment firm that focuses on local private equity and real estate opportunities.

HOMEQUEST, REALTORS

Lynn Wells and Drea Kia have acquired HomeQuest, Realtors from Jack and Carky Ainlay. The firm is now at 151 Hekili St. No. 220, in Kailua. HomeQuest has 18 agents, among them, the newly hired Beth Yoshimura, previously with Bank of Hawaii. The Ainlays will stay on as agents.

AQUA HOTELS & RESORTS

Aqua Hotels & Resorts recently announced several key hotel management positions in Waikīkī and on Maui.

Markus Schale was appointed general manager of the all-suite Hotel Wailea Maui. A native of Germany, he gained his experience in Canadian hotels.

Terry Dowsett is now general manager of Ilikai Hotel & Suites. He joined Aqua in 2005 and aided in the reopening of Aqua Palms & Spa.

Timothy Clark is now manager of Aqua Aloha Surf & Spa. He was with Kyoya Company, Ltd. and Starwood Hotels Hawaii for 20 years.

BENCHMARK HOSPITALITY INTERNATIONAL

Benchmark Hospitality International has named Michael Blaksteen director of food and beverage for Makena Beach & Golf Resort on Maui. A native of Denmark, he was most recently assistant food and beverage director for the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island.

WEALTH STRATEGY PARTNERS

William Fernandez has been named a principal financial representative for Wealth Strategy Partners. He will be in charge of client relationship building for the expanding gay and lesbian market.

HAWAI'I COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT CORPORATION

Hawai'i Community Reinvestment Corporation has elected its 2010 officers: chair, Ralph Mesick, executive vice president with Bank of Hawaii; vice chair, David Kamimura, executive vice president, Finance Factors; treasurer, Alan Yee, partner in charge of KMH Tax Compliance & Advisory Services; and secretary, Keith Ishida, City & County of Honolulu planner.

New board members are Alan Yee and Keith Kato, executive director of the Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation.

REVOLUSUN

RevoluSun has hired Brooks Bowman as project developer. He will be responsible for working with Hawai'i homeowners to determine the best solar systems and financing options available to meet their needs. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field.

HAWAII KAI RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

Stephanie Kanoa is now co-manager, as well as marketing manager, of Hawaii Kai Retirement Community.

FIRST INSURANCE COMPANY OF HAWAII

First Insurance Company of Hawaii has promoted Melissa Current to manager of the company's Surety & Fidelity Department. Current was previously the executive underwriter in the department.

AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK

American Savings Bank has hired David Ho, Christopher Lee, Jimmy Rhymer and Regan Yamada as financial services advisers. Ho is a former senior investment officer with First Hawaiian Bank.

Lee was a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

Rhymer was formerly with First Hawaiian Bank's Investment Services division.

Yamada was most recently a senior investment officer with First Hawaiian Investment Services.

TD FOOD GROUP

TD Food Group has promoted Deanna Teixeira to restaurant general manager of Pizza Hut in Pukalani, Maui. A seven-year employee of TD Food Group, she has served as wait staff, shift manager and assistant restaurant manager.

WEALTH STRATEGY PARTNERS

Wealth Strategy Partners has hired Stephan Dimond as a financial representative. Dimond joined the firm in 2008.

KALAMA HEIGHTS RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

Suzanne Antounian has returned to Kalama Heights Retirement Community as its manager. She is KHRC's former marketing and enrichment manager.

COUNSELORS OF REAL ESTATE

The Hawai'i chapter of the Counselors of Real Estate has announced its 2010 officers: chair, Christine Camp; vice chair, Glenn Kunihisa; secretary, Paul Cool; and treasurer, Wendell Brooks Jr.
