Big Island police schedule Kau meeting

Advertiser Staff

The Hawaii Police Department is planning a community meeting from noon to 2 p.m. March 17 at the Pahala Community Center to allow the public to meet the command staff and to discuss police-related concerns with the police chief and commanders who oversee police operations in the Kau District.

The Kau meeting is part of a rotation of community meetings throughout the eight police districts on the Big Island. Police are asking that participation in the meeting be limited to those who live or work in the Kau District.

Those interested in participating but unable to attend can e-mail their concerns to copsysop@hawaiipolice.com.

For more information, call Capt. Andrew Burian at 808-939-2520.
