Outback Steakhouse raising money for troops, veterans, families

Advertiser Staff

Visitors to Outback Steakhouse outlets in the Islands that are participating in the "Thanks for Giving" effort will be able to contribute to emergency and morale support for U.S. active troops, veterans and their families by ordering from a special "Red, White and Bloomin'" menu.

The restaurant chain will contribute portions of the sales proceeds to meet a $1 million commitment to Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization that provides the services.
In addition, country singer Tim McGraw is joining in, offering proceeds from sales of commemorative T-shirts from his 60-city "Southern Voice" tour to Operation Homefront.
The menu is available through March 31. Information: outback.com.
