The producers of the romantic comedy "Splinterheads" and Bar 35 will celebrate the film's release as a DVD with an event Thursday at the Chinatown bar.

Anisa Qureshi and Taylor Phillips, the film's executive producers, will be on hand. Clips from the film will be shown, along with outtakes and exclusive short films starring the cast of the film.

"Splinterheads" stars Rachael Taylor, Thomas Middleditch, Christopher McDonald, Frankie Faison and Dean Winters.

The film tells the story of a twentysomething joker who has decided that his "thing" is that he has no "thing" at all. When a small-time carnival rolls into town, he meets a gorgeous con artist who has more going for her than anyone he has ever met.

"Splinterheads" was featured at last year's Maui Film Festival.
