Police reopen Ala Moana Blvd. after suspicious package investigated

Police at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday reopened a portion of Ala Moana Boulevard, which was closed while they investigated a suspicious package.

The street was closed in both directions between Cooke and Punchbowl streets at about 6:40 p.m. The package was on on the grounds of the U.S. Homeland Security building at 595 Ala Moana Blvd., police said.
Police gave the all-clear about 7:55 p.m. and the road was reopened a short time later.
