Man critically hurt after SUV hits him in Waikiki

A man working along a driveway at the Discovery Bay condominium was critically injured Wednesday by a car, police said.
Police said a 2009 Nissan Murano was descending a parking ramp at Discovery Bay on Kaio�o Drive about 3:20 p.m. when the SUV hit a 72-year-old man who was cleaning a drainage channel at the bottom of the ramp.
The man suffered head and shoulder injuries and was taken in critical condition to The Queen�s Medical Center, police said.
The Murano was driven by a 42-year-old Honolulu man.
