Shark-warning signs removed at Maili Beach

Advertiser Staff

Shark-warning signs have been removed at Maili Beach this morning after lifeguards saw no signs of a shark.

Lifeguards yesterday posted warning signs and cleared the waters after a police officer notified lifeguards he had spotted an approximately 10-foot shark in near-shore waters, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Emergency Services Department.
