Hawaiian Grammy nominees ‘Live on the Lawn’

"Live from the Lawn” at the Hawaii State Art Museum this Friday evening presents the Grammy-nominated artists for Best Hawaiian Music Album.

Performances, from 6 to 9 p.m. will include Tia Carrere and Daniel Ho (“He Nani”); Amy Hanaialii with John Cruz, Eric Gilliom and Dennis Kamakahi (“Friends and Family of Hawaii”); Ho okena (“Nani Mau Loa”); and Dennis Kamakahi, George Kahumoku Jr., Sonny Lim, Owana Salazar and Jeff Peterson (“Masters of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Volume 2”).
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards show is set for Jan. 31 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The free concert will be held on the museum’s front lawn. Guests are invited to bring low lawn chairs and blankets. Beach mats will be provided. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Food will be available for purchase. For more information, call 586-0900.
