Advertiser Staff

Should Punahou beat Maryknoll on Thursday, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu boys Division I will finish in a three-way tie with Punahou, Kamehameha and Iolani all at 12-2, forcing a special playoff.

In the special playoff, Kamehameha, after a three-team draw today, received a bye. Punahou was No. 2 and Iolani No. 3.
Iolani will play at Punahou, 6:30 p.m. Friday. The winner will host Kamehameha, 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The winner of Saturday's game will be the ILH champion and will earn one of two automatic ILH berths into the state tournament. A third ILH team will play compete with a Neighbor Island team for another state berth.
However, if Kamehameha loses Saturday, it will have to play at the loser of Friday's game to determine the ILH's second state berth.
