Lois-Ann Yamanaka announces summer writing courses

Award-winning writer Lois-Ann Yamanaka's Naçau writing school will launch the Summer 2010 Writing Institute for students grades 1-12 in June.

Yamanaka and business partner Melvin E. Spencer III are offering week-long, 2-hour expository writing classes covering a variety of topics between June 1 and Aug. 20. Students can enroll for one week of classes ($325) or as many as 10-12 weeks ($200 a week). Classes are grouped in three divisions by school grade (grades 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12).
