Big waves, cool breezes in Isles forecast

A high-surf advisory has been posted for north- and west-facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai and north-facing shores on Maui.

The National Weather Service says surf will be on the rise from this morning.
North-facing shores can expect surf to build to 12 to 18 feet. West-facing shores will see 8- to 12-foot surf.
The advisory remains in effect until 6 tomorrow night.
Meanwhile, it will be another cool, breezy day, with northeast winds at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. The wind will diminish in the afternoon.
Highs will be 73 to 78 degrees.
