HONOLULU — Hawaii DeBartolo LLC has selected Nordic PCL as the general contractor for the first phase of a 1.5 million-square-foot, mixed-use shopping center in Kapolei.

In addition to retail stores, Ka Makana Alii will also feature hotels, office buildings and family entertainment.
Located at the intersection of Kapolei Parkway and North-South Road, Phase I will be a neighborhood convenience center.
Hawaii DeBartolo said Wednesday that construction is expected to start within a year to 18 months. The land for Ka Makana Alii is being leased from the state Department of Hawaiian Homelands.
